Tel Aviv: After the bodies of 6 hostages were found in Gaza, there were large public demonstrations in Israel against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
Thousands of people participated in anti-government protests in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Demonstrators holding anti-Netanyahu placards chanted slogans against the government and demanded that the government sign a Gaza ceasefire agreement as soon as possible to bring back the hostages.
The families of the Israeli hostages have also called for a full strike in Israel tomorrow, with Israel's powerful trade union Hasdarot announcing a full strike tomorrow in support of the appeal.
The head of the trade union says that I have come to the conclusion that now only our intervention can shake the people who need to be shaken, from tomorrow morning the entire Israeli economy will be on strike.
He said that the agreement to release the hostages is not happening due to political reasons and it is unacceptable, at this time the deal is more important than anything else but we are getting dead bodies instead of the agreement.
He also said that Israel's largest Ben Gurion Airport airport will be closed from 8 am tomorrow.
On the other hand, after announcing a complete strike in Israel yesterday, Israeli Finance Minister Batsalal Smotrich started threatening his own people.
According to the Israeli media, Batsalal Smotrich has said that on behalf of the families of the Israeli hostages and the trade union, they have instructed the officials of the Ministry of Finance that whoever goes on strike will not be paid.
He has criticized the head of the trade union and said that he is fulfilling the dream of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. Instead of representing Israeli workers, he is representing Hamas.
